Getting my scrap ON!

Since I know you were all waiting for me to come back....

Here's me and my sisters and my mommy. In order...me, my mom, my OLDER sister {in green}, my younger sister, and my sis-in-law.

We all had a fabulous time scrapbooking and chatting and eating naughty food. It was great! I got 21 pages done! Are you impressed? Sadly, this doesn't even come close to putting a dent in my pictures to scrap...but alas, such is the life of a scrapper. :0)

Those pages look great! I wish I had time and motivation to do that stuff.

And yes - I did notice that you love me most of all. :)

you girls were busy! anyway... i've emailed you twice - so here's the latest info:
Are you read to get this party started? I know I am! First of all, I just want to say a big, no a huge THANK YOU! Thanks for signing up for the swap, and thanks for posting your buttons & links & helping to "spread the love". I am amazed at the incredible response. Would you believe that we have over 300 participants?! Holy Cow! I have absolutely loved getting to know all of you... visiting your blogs, websites & shops! With this many people swapping, I'll be busy as a bee, as you can imagine, over the next couple of days matching up partners, but I promise I'll get them emailed out as quick as can be.

In the meantime, you can start thinking about & preparing your "favorite things" package. Now remember, the whole idea behind this swap is to send at least three objects (although i don't think your partner would object if you decide to send more) that are some of YOUR favorite things... maybe it's an apron you made, your favorite book, or a favorite CD. Objects can be new or vintage, bought or handmade.

An important lesson I have learned from swaps is that you don't necessarily have to spend a lot of money, in order to create a wonderful package. Take the time to put some thought into preparing your package... think about your "presentation". Some of my favorite packages may have contained simple items, but everything was wrapped individually with lots of care. It's always nice to include a note or letter explaining why you choose the items you've included as well. It is my hope that you will be creative, put lots of thought into this & most importantly have fun with it!

The best piece of advice i can offer is to remember, it is probably best to send a package that you'd be pleased to receive yourself!

Once you receive your package, be sure to post photos here:
http://www.flickr.com/groups/favoritethingsswap/ for everyone to
enjoy! If you don't have a flickr account, I encourage you to sign up for one (it's free, & it's a another great place to find new ideas & meet new friends.)

Looking for a little inspiration for your package? Then check out some of the pictures posted for our swap last year & some of these additional other swaps:

Thanks again for your participation! Over the next couple of days I will be forwarding you your swap partners information. Once you've received it, I encourage you to email them & visit their blog/ website/ shop. Introduce yourselves & get to know one another. You might also want to go through some of the comments on the original post regarding the swap (http://according-to-kelly.blogspot.com/2008/05/youre-invited-dont-forget-to-rsvp.html ). This is a great opportunity to meet some new and fabulous blog friends!

Don't Forget! Please have your packages postmarked by Monday, June 30th!

Thanks Again!

xoxo,
kelly

So fun! I still haven't made anymore pages since the last girls night. At least you can always know you are ahead of me.
