Mommy Tips by Ashlee

So, it's been getting a little too deep around here lately! Let's lighten it up, with some......

HELPFUL MOMMY TIPS BY ASHLEE

My friend, Montay, did a post on handy household tips a couple of months ago, so I thought I'd share some more. So, grab your aprons and go fix your hair....get ready to get housewiferly! {I made that word up just now}

It's not winter here anymore, but I know that some of you are still dealing with the yuck.

So, for icy door steps in freezing temperatures: get warm water and put Dawn dish washing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. They won't Refreeze.

To remove old wax from a glass candle holder, put it in the freezer for a few hours. Then take the candle holder out and turn it upside down. The wax will fall out.

For those of you with mischevious little ones like me...you may end up with permanent marker on appliances/counter tops. Use rubbing alcohol on a paper towel to clean it off.

Blood stains on clothes? Not to worry! Just pour a little hydrogen peroxide on a cloth and proceed to wipe off every drop of blood. Works every time! (Now, where to put the body?)

Spray a bit of perfume on the light bulb in any room to create a lovely light scent in each room when the light is turned on.
Use air-freshener to clean mirrors. It does a good job and better still, leaves a lovely smell to the shine.
When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape over the splinter, and then pull it off. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly and easily.
There you have it ladies! Now go get your housewife on!

You should have a "HOUSEWIFERY" post every week.

Thanks for the tips-especially the splinters one.

I never heard the tip about the candle wax--I've actually THROWN AWAY candle holders because I couldn't get the wax out. Great tip!

I agree with sister honey bunch...housewifery is awesome. It sounds like some housewife/sheep breeding hybrid. Kind of.
