Opinions needed!

My kitchen is covered in roosters. I have decorated my kitchen this way for seven years. Yes, seven. There have been

additions over the years, and some items have been removed from the walls and shelves. But, honestly....

I'm getting tired of roosters. I want to do something else. I just have no idea what to do. I'm needing some ideas and insight, so I'm looking to all of you for help. My walls are a brick red in my kitchen. I love my red walls. So, I would need something that coordinated with that color. Other than that I'm pretty open for suggestions. The budget is small and my time to get crafty is non-existent. It makes it hard to fill the space. I would like to get away from the country look though.

Your help is always appreciated. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Not that I know what I am talking about..but why don't you take out all the roasters and country things and find one "Key" NEW piece...somthing that you really like to build around it.
Living without the stuff may triggger a different direction...Kind of like when we put away all the Christmas stuff and it feels so clean and different...
Maybe for the Spring/ summer go for a beachy cottage look with cool signs (those metal kind)
OR you can just do what you like!!!...hehehee.
Good Luck. From the rambling old lady who loves reading your blog.

I have a red wall in my kitchen, too, and I LOVE that color with a mustard yellow. So ditch the roosters and get something really cool in a mustard yellow.

Just a thought...

Can't wait to see what you do!

My suggestion? Go to Real Deals on Thursday or Saturday. It's over by Thursdays. They have CUTE stuff for inexpensive (mostly). Maybe you will find something there. You could get some retail therapy AND decorate your kitchen...woohoo!

I am big into the Americana theme...I did navy blue and antique white accents and did old american flag stuff and stars....
EAsy to decorate if you have a Reel Deals or GRaples. Lots of old looking blue and maroon jars, plates, tin stars......just a suggestion. have fun!!!

I would suggest looking at some home magazines. I love to steal their ideas and find ways to recreate them in my house on a small budget. I will keep my eye out for some ideas.
