Indiana Jones?

SO, the hubby and I made it to the theater this weekend to watch the latest story in the Indiana Jones saga. Indiana Jones is now OLD. He is portrayed that way in the movie too. So, don't think they were going to try to fool you into thinking he was young still. :0) Though the movie was fairly good, I was left disappointed. It wasn't artifacty like the other ones. I don't want to ruin the whole thing for you, but the "magical" element that most Indiana Jones movies have behind the artifact was, well....dumb. It wasn't like the others.
It didn't help that the hubby and I watched a special on the SciFi channel last week about Crystal Skulls. So, there wasn't ever a real surprise for us. We knew what was coming. So, I think that might have ruined it for us. Oh well.
It was good though! Don't NOT go and see it because of my opinion. Most people have really liked it. Like I said, I think we ruined it for ourselves.
Next on my list of movies to watch? The next Will Smith movie. He's a superhero....a drunk superhero. It looks interesting. :0)

We watched The Last Crusade again last night gearing up for the new one. I just love Indiana Jones. Seriously, I haven't found a younger actor to love the way I do Harrison Ford or Tom Hanks or Tommy Lee Jones. They're good.

I do loves me some Will Smith though. He used to be one of my answers for who I would take on a deserted island. He's just so dang funny.

Was just surfing blogs and ran across this. I saw IJ last night and was very disappointed from the very start and I didn't even see the special on crystal skulls.

You can read my quick review here

Glad to read this, I heard from someone I work with that it wasn't that great. I've been wondering.

NPR said that Crystal Skulls were like colonial version of Airport souvenirs. Wow, I actually spelled souvenirs correct! Wow!

My favorite was Temple of Doom...I don't know if that can be topped. I think the drunken Will Smith movie sounds funny.

We saw it this weekend and were so disappointed. I'm looking forward to the Will Smith movie and the next Batman.

Glad to hear they aged Harrison Ford. I would have been really disappointed if he was still the main character stay. Every torch has to be passed along some time.

We also saw it this weekend, and it was o.k. Not great! I agree with Ashlee, a little too sci-fi for me. See it, but wait till it comes out on video.

Bummer. I might just wait until it's in the dollar theater. That is, if I can keep Holly away from Harrison that long.

we've been debating whether or not to see this. probably will, but will wait until all the hubub has died down and it won't be so crowded. :)

i'm allergic to crowds in my old age! :)

we actually really liked it. It was a little cheesier then the other ones. But if you are able to roll your eyes and chuckle to your self... "yea right" and go on.. then you will enjoy it :)

Yeah, we took our boys and went Friday night. I had NO IDEA what the crystal skulls were, and I left very disappointed. Had higher hopes...wanted more histroy/artifact stuff.
