And now you know...

I'm taking a nap today. Let me tell you why {because I know you want to know!}

Last night was the much anticipated February Girls Night. I look forward to this EVERY SINGLE MONTH. It's MY night out. No kids, no hubby...and I come home whenever I want. Some nights it's early, other nights...not so much. Last night was one of those "not so much" nights. Montay was kind enough to host this month and so we all went to her house for virgin margaritas, nachos, and chocolate. Can't go wrong there! We had almost everyone show up, so it was great to chat with friends I only see at these things. I wish I had pictures to show, we had such a blast. Montay was great and snapped some shots of us attempting to play her Wii. She said she was going to post them on her blog, so you can check them out there when she gets her post up. :0)

Anyway...it was great to see my blogging buddy Bonnie there. Hopefully she wasn't too scared of us and will come back next month! {my fingers are crossed} Everyone left at a fairly decent hour....everyone but me. Yes, I didn't get home until after 1:00 in the morning. That was not my intention. But, it just happened. After everyone else left I ended up giving Montay a little basic blogging tutorial and I lost track of time. Oh well. The only problem is that this morning was

PASTRIES FOR PARENTS

at Landon's school. We basically provide donuts and milk to the students and their parents to eat/drink while they read books. The kids also get to show their parents how to take an A/R test. The PTA was in charge of the event and I had to be at the school at 7:00 am SHARP with a fat check for the donut delivery people. Ahhh! See, I don't fall asleep well at night either. It takes me about an hour or so to get my brain to shut off. So, I didn't fall asleep until about 2:00 in the morning. Sigh. Let's just say I didn't get my fanny out of bed until 6:30, which meant scrambling to get myself "presentable" for a school full of children and their adoring parents. It wasn't pretty. I can assure you of that. But I made it!

And now that I am sitting down....I just want to close my eyes and go back to sleep. I realize it's my fault that I'm tired. I could have been a good little girl and gone home at a "decent" hour. But, {picture me stomping my foot on the ground} I didn't want to! It's MY night! So, I'm suffering the consequences now. And this is why I will be taking a little nap of my own while daughter takes hers. Only three more hours to go! Let's hope I make it that long! I think I need to go get some caffeine....

I'm sure you looked great this morning. My boss will say "Oh you did your hair today, what'd you do" and I'm all like "I brushed it" lol! No seriously.

Fun night out! I so need to do that but unfortunately my best buds live out of state so I'd have to sit and stare at HB while she bossed me around.

First of all, Ashlee, I'm glad you had such a good time last night. Being tired is a small price to pay for hanging with your girls.

And Sassy, if you didn't need bossing, I wouldn't have to boss you. Think about that.

Sisters....girls! Don't make me come over there! {I'm making my angry face right now to scare you}

Enjoy your nap today! Being tired due to staying up late having fun sounds better than being tired due to just about any other reason.

I was totally NOT scared. I will most certainly be there next month! I had so much fun. Everyone was so nice. It's been a REALLY long time since I've done a girls night thing, so I'm really excited and grateful to be included. My Hubby wasn't even get mad that I didn't get home till 11pm. Perhaps he too knows the value of girls night out! Anyway, thanks again for the invite, and go take a nap!
